First Two Double Coffee® Restaurants in China will be
Opened this Summer
As a result of development of their business, a year ago Double Coffee® came up
with a franchise system. First two restaurants based on it will open their doors to the
customers in China already in July. Enterpreneurs from Georgia, Ireland, India, Kazakhstan
and many other countries have expressed interest in Double Coffee franchise.
In Short about the History of the Business
Double Coffee® was found in 2002 in Riga, Latvia. In the coming years the company became
the largest chain of espresso-capuccino bars and restaurants in the Baltics and successfully
entered the market in Ukraine and Belarus, becoming one of the Europe's 500 fastest-growing
enterprises. Already in the first years of operation, Double Coffee® have received
prizes like "Best Merchant of Riga", "Best Merchant of Latvia", "Best Brand", as well
as in 2005 and 2007 - "Customers Praise", competing with many companies in Latvia within
the project "Month of Good Service".
About Double Coffee Franchise System
Double Coffee franchise system offers several models of business development.
These opportunities have been developed on the basis of international experience
and good practice. To gain ideas and knowledge for evolution of their franchise,
the management of Double Coffee have participated in IFA (International Franchise
Association) organized exhibition IFA Expo 2008, which was held for the 17th time
in Washington D. C., USA.

world of franchising, attended by several thousands of people from all
around the world.
Our main goals of visiting the exhibition were: to research different
franchising concepts more closely; to see how franchisers present themselves
in exhibitions of such scale; to get to know more about information technologies
that are used in franchising; to establish useful contacts with people involved in
different areas of franchising.
We can say with confidence that we have accomplished our goals to 100%.
Specially useful appeared to be the seminars and symposiums which were
running parallel to the exhibition. Very interesting was the 2-day symposium
"Franchising Your Business" and the symposium about development of operations
manuals. From seminars we got to know more about, for example, budgeting of the
master franchise and franchising opportunities in India. The exhibition itself
did not impress us with its size and brightness, however we successfully managed
to gain all information and experience we needed.
