Accommodation about collaboration signed between franchise associations of the Baltics and Azerbaijan

September 14^th 2007 in Vilnius Baltic Franchise Association (BFA) and Azerbaijan Franchise Association (AFA) had signed an accommodation about collaboration.

The accommodation was signed in the presence of the H. E. President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamskus and the H.E. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev during the business forum held on the occasion of visit of the President of Azerbaijan in Lithuania.

The accommodation was signed by the Chairman of AFA - Elshan Musaev (Azerbaijan) and Co Chairman of BFA - Tatiana Melehova (Latvia) and Rimantas Yakubas Grigaravichius (Lithuania).

 BFA and AFA members hope, that the accommodation will promote the development of franchising in Baltic states and Azerbaijan, an also will establish strong collaboration between the countries.

Exhibition doors closed with two highly successful, specialists show: Franchising & Trade and Shop Project organized by EXPOCTS, a Fiera Milano Group company. As many as 25,000 visitors came in to the two shows to meet the exbitiors and attend the many seminars ans special events.

A Unique Case In Franchising – SAKRET Prosperity In The Baltic States

Having heard about the successful SAKRET development and rapid domestication of the Latvian market niche, Mr. R. ü At the moment, the part of the franchising companies on the American market is more than 40% of the whole trade volume, in which 7,2 millions of employees are involved. In Europe, Germany is taking the leading position – 530 franchisors have licensed 22 000 franchisees. Denmark is still an outsider – there are only 98 maternity companies with 2 000 franchisees.
ü Phere are more than 60 sorts of business, developing on the base of franchising. The most popular sphere is fast food (take a look at McDonald’s!) & the sales of alimentary products & drinks such as Coca-cola & Pepsi.
ü In the USA after 5 years of operating on the market only 23% of the private business resists, nevertheless, after 10 years of operating, there are only 18% of them. Although among the companies, working on the franchising system, only 8 of 100 companies splits in the further 5 years, and 10 of 100 – in further 10 years.
ü Franchises – business-format are divided on the following groups:

Franchise working place – where the franchisor is preparing a well-equipped working place for the entrepreneur;

Franchise-enterprise – commercial franchise, which demands the biggest investments;

Franchise-investment – the main aim: the return of the primary investment’s sum.
